ABOUT GROUP PASS ·  MADE BY ID&C

The people behind your event’s credentials

Group Pass is a new name, but we’ve been doing this for thirty years. We’re the planner-facing home of ID&C, the team that brought cloth wristbands to Glastonbury, RFID to Coachella and wristband room keys to hotels. Now we’re putting that experience to work for your conference, retreat or wedding.

Why we built Group Pass

Every event at a hotel or resort needs credentials. Most planners end up buying them from three or four different places: wristbands from one supplier, keycards from another, lanyards and badges from a printer who’s never heard of an RFID lock. Every extra vendor is another proof to chase, another color to match and another shipment to worry about.

Group Pass puts everything your guests will wear, swipe or scan in one place. That covers keycards, wristbands, bracelets, lanyards, badges and card holders. They’re designed together, proofed together and delivered together, and one team answers your questions.

Every credential. One print partner.

Thirty years of getting it right

ID&C started at a kitchen table in Tunbridge Wells, England, in 1995. Since then, the company has helped define what an event credential can be.

  • 1995: Chris and Gill Wilkey found ID&C in the UK.
  • 1999: ID&C introduces the first cloth wristband, at Glastonbury Festival.
  • 2005: ID&C makes the “Make Poverty History” wristbands for Oxfam. More than 17 million are sold worldwide.
  • 2011: ID&C builds custom RFID wristbands for Coachella, the first major festival to replace paper tickets with RFID access.
  • 2016: ID&C opens its first US office, in Sarasota, Florida.
  • 2017: ID&C pioneers RFID wristbands as hotel room keys.
  • 2020: ID&C becomes part of Avery, within CCL Industries.
  • Today: Group Pass brings all of it straight to the planner.

Backed by Avery

Since 2020, ID&C has been part of Avery, one of the most trusted names in labels and identification. Avery is part of CCL Industries, a global leader in specialty labeling.

What that means for your event:

  • Materials you can count on. Avery’s material science and supply chain sit behind every card, band and badge.
  • Capacity when you need it. We can make 100 keycards for a boutique wedding or 100,000 for a multi-property conference.
  • A partner who’ll be here next year. When you come back for next year’s event, last year’s job is still on file.

ID&C still runs as its own business, and so does Group Pass. Our specialists answer your calls and check your proofs.

Professional level print and RFID is standard

Our RFID keycards and wristbands come from the same engineering ID&C uses for hotels and event around the world. ID&C is an approved vendor of RFID wristbands for ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions. Our credentials are made to work with ASSA ABLOY, Salto, Onity, dormakaba and most major lock systems, so your guests get into their rooms on the first tap.

How we work

  • Lead times up front. You’ll know your ship date before you check out. Rush options are there if you need them.
  • A second pair of eyes on every proof. A real person checks your files before anything goes to print.
  • One order, one delivery. Your badges, lanyards and keycards arrive together and match each other.
  • A human on the other end. Reply to any email from us and a person on our team will answer.

From the front desk to the dance floor

We serve corporate event teams running user conferences and off-sites. We also serve wedding planners and hosts filling welcome bags at a resort. The events look nothing alike, but every planner wants the same thing: credentials that are one less thing to worry about.

Tell us your event date and we’ll show you what’s possible by then.
